SELF-ESTEEM COURSE
WHAT IS THE CALEB’S MOUNTAIN SELF-ESTEEM COURSE?
We provide a supportive, tailor-made programme for pupils who might struggle in the traditional, formal educational environment. We use informal community education practice and different learning styles, to help your students grow in confidence, empathy and resilience.
We are running the programme as part of a three day residential for ten or more students at Viney Hill Christian Adventure Centre. The children take part in a range of exciting outdoor activities, as well as participating in our self-esteem workshops.
THE WORKSHOP SESSIONS

During the residential each group will receive access to six complimentary activity sessions at Viney Hill Christian Adventure Centre.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?
Your students will be able to explore solutions to issues such as low self-esteem, challenging behaviours, anger etc. and be able to try out what they learn in a safe environment with the support of a Caleb’s Mountain worker.
Schools
As educators, you will benefit from the extra support given to those students who struggle to engage with formal education. We hope that, after taking part in the Caleb's Mountain Self Esteem Programme, you would see those children engaging more in the classroom. Many areas of the PSHE curriculum are covered within our sessions.
Children
Children will benefit from enjoying new activities and alternative ways of learning, all linked to key aspects of the curriculum. They will have opportunities to learn and explore issues in small groups where they can be themselves and develop life skills which will benefit them throughout their time at school.
VINEY HILL CHRISTIAN ADVENTURE CENTRE
The Christian Adventure Centre at Viney Hill provides the most amazing adventure activity experience available, either residentially or as a day visitor. Nestling between the River Severn and River Wye in the beautiful Royal Forest of Dean, they are the ideal venue for a group to relax, study and discover the great outdoors through adventurous and challenging activities in a supportive and nurturing environment. They work with many different groups, regardless of background, whether you come from a school, college, youth group, church or any other organisation.
